Katie + Davie have such an intimate closeness about them. I just loved spending time and photographing the special sweetness that is their relationship. My favorite thing is to capture couples just as they are.
Some of my favorite images from last year’s engagement sessions. Tons of fun California shoots: San Francisco, Santa Barbara, Solvang, San Diego, LA and Orange County. Can’t wait to see where this year’s engagements take us!
One of my favorite engagement sessions: Kristi + Josh on the LA Subway is featured today on one of my favorite blogs, Ever Ours.
With all the wedding blogs that promote details and inspiration, it’s great to have a photography based blog that promotes more of the story telling and lifestyle than the details. It’s such a huge honor to be featured among the many amazingly talented photographers this blog features on a regular basis.
Thank you Lydia! And thanks Kristi + Josh for choosing the LA Subway!
This couple. This city.
Our San Francisco locations:
City Hall,
Crissy Field,
Ferry Building
Big Four Restaurant
I first met them at City Hall after they picked up their marriage certificate.
You can see the license peeking out of her bag.
I’ll give you one guess of where we were..
Their first date happened at Big Four Restaurant so we ended there for drinks and apps. Too much fun!
I don’t usually post testimonials for engagement sessions but I wanted to talk a little bit about what Jen said and my style:
Oh my gosh, Dana. They are stunning! It feels like you somehow captured the energy of Matt and myself on film. I absolutely love them.
My goal in every shoot is to capture my clients unique energy. This lends to a unique shooting approach. I am inspired by different personalities and what makes each couple unique. Some are really fun and giggly and other couples are more withdrawn and have a romantic, quiet energy. I find just as much inspiration in the nuances of every couple’s energy and I find my approach changes based on the couple.
Thanks so much to Jen and Matt for this perfect note!
