What an amazing trip/shoot this was! A refreshing-inspiring-having-fun-with-friends-and-quiet-moments-with-God kind of trip.

I’ve been photographing the Keach family for years and they have become great friends. First I shot Brandon and Kristen’s wedding in 2009 and then everything after! Now they have two adorable kids and it’s so wonderful to see their sweet family grow. They are salt of the earth people.

Kristen has been going to to this amazing camp like magical place called Montecito Lodge in Sequoia since she was little. Now her and Brandon go every year and made their own tradition. They thought it would be the perfect place to document their family since it’s so special to them. And it was. There’s something about being in the Sequoias that makes you feel peace and closer to God. (At least it did for me.) I am so thankful we were able to make the time to go and shoot and spend quality time with them. I will hold this trip in my heart for a long time and I can only hope they feel as blessed as I do.

We did a little shoot of the whole Sequoia crew, Brandon’s fam.

Usually I shoot The Bisel family once a year in the fall. But this time we shot a mini kid session in my favorite flower field in Orange County. It’s always so much fun photographing these funny little ones. One of my favorite things I’ve heard came from this little sweetheart, when she said, “Can she babysit us?!” I laughed so hard!

I love how siblings interact and I think it’s important to document them exactly how they are. One of the most endearing things I photographed was when she squeezed-hugged her brother so hard. That is one that will be remembered when they’re older.

This is the coolest family. Maria is the owner of a salon where I get my hair done (Lush) and Aaron works as a tattoo artist at Gold Rush Tattoo. I’ve gotten to shoot the salon, her sister’s wedding, her family and now her family maternity. Between Aaron giving us a few extra shots of Tequila at the wedding and Maria leaving snacks on my car after her shoot, I can say this is the nicest family! At this shoot I even got a gift! Maria gave me the an amazing mint vintage style hair dryer that I use everyday. (Thank you Maria!). So thoughtful.

So excited for the arrival of their new baby!

Last time I photographed their family, Mila was a little shy but she was all smiles and giggles this time!

Some canvas images I’ve had printed. What’s awesome it that you can have the image wrap around the sides and it looks great on the wall from any angle. 

The texture of the canvas is also very nice. It give it just a little something special than just a regular print.

In honor of Rebecca June’s new website, I’m posting her fabulous portrait session! Every year I shoot her card and 2013’s did not dissapoint. Becca is a fabulous interior designer with amazing style. When she told me her idea, I was immediately on board with the mid-century modern Palm Springs vibe. And the swan! And the dog! My heart skipped a beat.
