Dana Grant Photography New Site + Logo!

If you’re reading this, you’re on my brand new blog and site!

I’ve been trying to update this for over a year but many things just didn’t work out. So finally, here it is. My blog needed to be cleaner, less confusing and more mobile friendly, which it is now! The blog also needed to be separated from the main site. Now you can take a peek at the new galleries on the homepage and in the gallery page. I hope you find it easier, prettier and more fun to poke around!

There’s so many amazing people and places I’ve been inspired by shooting over the years. And I can’t wait to meet the folks that see this site and feel my style is just right for them. We are going to make beautiful music together!

And as you can see, I also got a new logo. It was time to get a logo that reflected not just what I do, but who I am. And this does that very well. (You can read more on my new about page.)

With a new logo, comes new cards. I’ve been doing wood cards for a couple years but I did them slightly different this time. I chose wood because it’s natural and so is my photography. And my logo looks so fun on wood! These cards are so cute and reflect everything I love. It’s funny how often I’m attracted to some variation of this color combination in clothing, packaging and design.

Please make sure to go check out the people who helped make this possible for your design and website needs!

I’m moving!

For the last 8 years I’ve been a full time photographer, working from a home office. I’ve been thinking about getting a studio outside the house for about a year when the perfect place became available! So now I must say goodbye to my cute, sweet house that I’ve met many a couple, done tons of shoots and created many memories in.

It’s hard to say goodbye but as my dear friend said, “It’s a sad thing. An end to a beautiful book. It’s time to write a new one. This one has a better ending.”

My new house is closer to the beach and my new studio is beautiful! Can’t wait to show you.

To say goodbye, I made this collage of some of the shoots I’ve done at my house.

Target at Hispanicize Photography

My trip to Mimai a couple weeks ago was a whirlwind! I had an opportunity to photograph an event for Target: the decor and happenings of the lounge and the pool party at the Hipanicize event that took place at the Eden Roc Hotel. Phil Colon does a lot for Hispanicize and is the mastermind behind this Target setup. My friend Julia of Serendipitous Events was organizing the event for Phil. She thought I would be the perfect photographer for this and that’s how I came into the mix!

It was such a great experience to be around such beautiful, warm, friendly people including several Latin celebrities. Miami Beach is gorgeous and so are all the people within. (Stay tuned for a shoot up next on the blog with some of those beautiful people.) I love Miami!

The seriously beautiful Target Lounge by Phil Colon. This was designed for the Hispananicize attendees to come hang out, listen to the headphones, play on the iPads, charge phones, eat snacks provided by Target and socialize.

Target and Hispanicize in Miami!

Somehow all the stars aligned and I got the opportunity to:

1. Go to Miami for 8 days
2. Shoot an event for Target, as in Target

It was for an event called Hipanicize which brings brands, media, marketers, celebrities, filmmakers, innovators and bloggers together in a unique creative environment focused on ideas and best practices.

What I shot was the amazing Target Lounge, complete with high quality headphones from Emilio Estefan + Monster.

Here’s a couple of details shots. Can’t wait to show you the rest!
