Happy Independence Day!

I thought it would be fitting to blog this beautiful little shoot I did of this man, Nic coming home to his wife, Shayna after 8 months of service. When Shayna told me about doing this, I was so excited and honored to be included in this experience.

The anticipation and excitement of this was making me teary eyed too! She kept checking the flight to see exactly when it was coming in. She’s holding his wedding ring, that she got engraved.

When she sees him coming down the stairs.

Thank you so much Shaya + Nic for letting me be part of this wonderful experience!

Griffith Park Photography, Part 2

Part 2 of the Griffith Park and Observatory shoots.

This is when it starting getting crazy at the Observatory. They closed it so we had to switch locations.

This is where you can start to tell the light is different because of the eclipse.

This couple love to dance so I had to shoot it. I love this shot because her skirt is the only thing in focus.

Griffith Park Photography, Part 1

Last month I did the marathon shoots I announced at Griffith Park and Observatory. And I happened to schedule it for May 20, which was also the day of the eclipse. Only I could accidentally do that! Around 5, the light started getting really hazy and different. Griffith Park was insane and we had to leave and do the last 3 shoots at another Griffith Park location, which you’ll see in part two. It was a fun/crazy/great day!

It was so nice to meet all of you and see some familiar faces as well! Everyone was awesome!

Newport Beach Photography: Surfer

I shot these of my friend Chase in Newport Beach. Not too many waves, but that wasn’t the point. Just Chase and his surfboards.

This is what Newport Beach looks like in January.
