Allison and Joe had a gorgeous destination wedding at Sunstone Winery in Santa Ynez. It was such a relaxed, lovely time filled with close friends and family. The food by Trattoria Grappolo was outstanding. (It had to be since they are big time foodies.) Every detail was thoughtful and beautiful.

Between planning and all the shoots, we’ve spent a lot of time with this couple. At the end of the reception Joe says to us, “We feel like we’ve not only gained a photographer out of this deal but also new friends. ” Our sentiments exactly. Thank you so much Joe and Allison for being so amazing!
We found this perfect spot and decided to do their first look under an Oak Tree.
The Villa at Sunstone Winery feels like Italy.
It was a little windy. And by a little windy, I mean a lot windy.
The reception was in a little romantic cave.
This is probably thee best wedding cake I’ve ever had. It’s from Solvang Bakery.
Eat, drink and be married!
Allison is a foodie. She even has her own blog called Sweet Potato Bites, so her wedding food was really important to her. This Chef from Trattoria Grappolo was so fun and his food was amazingly good!
The night ended with dancing and a yummy gelato bar!
Kat + Nick had a lovely wedding filled with LOTS of close family and friends (their wedding parties were 8 and 9!) at the Green Gables Wedding Estate in San Marcos. It was a gorgeous day filled with such a fun loving group of people!
Such a cute idea to write cards to the bride and groom and have Mom send it to them all year long!
Kat’s dress from Mary Me Bridal, Casablanca.
Pretty flowers by Growers Direct Flowers in Tustin.
They made the boutonnieres out of bottle caps.
These guys really love each other.
The groom’s darling nieces made the cutest flower girls.
There’s nothing like the face of a groom as his bride comes down the aisle.
I love all the emotion in their faces. These are Nick’s three sisters and close friends of Kat’s, watching her come down the aisle.
We snuck out and took a few more pictures at sunset because SUNSET.
And fun was had by all!
Since I’m finally catching up on blogging, I wanted to share this super sweet wedding from last year. Tara + Jay are such a wonderful couple and I adore spending time with them. Their wedding was beautiful, relaxed and filled with love from family and friends. They even made me cry a bunch of times!
Venue: Abbott Manor in Temecula
Hair and Makeup by Melody
Tara’s dress was designed by her and made by her mother
Jays suit: Custom order from Proper Suit
Cake: Ontario Bakery
Some of the Abbot Manor details. It was a gorgeous day!
Tara, along with her bridesmaids got the flowers with the LA market and put them together before the wedding.
Wood centerpieces and flowers Tara made around the head table.
Already emotional while getting ready.
Those are my hands. A lot of times I’m the one who pins the boutonniere.
Jay was so so happy!
I absolutely love shooting the guys.
They chose to do a first look, which I highly recommend. Love their anticipation in this.
One of my favorite first look shots EVER!
Cheer up Jay!
Even though they did a first look, they still both cried (again) at this moment of her walking down the aisle. The first look doesn’t take away from this special moment, it adds to it.
I don’t remember what they said, but I do remember crying a lot.
My favorite kind of light with my favorite kind of couple.
Candy bar and succulent favors. (We got to keep one. Thanks Tara + Jay!) They hand made and packaged the favors- succulent pots and salted caramel bars.
Happy Valentine’s Day! Today’s the day so many client’s men will get to see what we’ve been up to and I’m so excited for their surprise! Since I can’t post them yet, here’s some sexy Brigitte Bardot Boudoir Inspiration to feast your eyes on.
It’s never too late to surprise your Valentine with the best gift of all time; you! Careful though, these have been known to cause engagements and/or babies! And you can call me for both 😉
Special thanks to all involved with this shoot:
