Trash the Dress Shoot in Palm Springs…….

While I was on my way back from my Vegas trip of a lifetime, Jeremy went to a Trash the Dress Session with a group from our favorite forum, The DWF .

The shoot was in the hot desert of Palm Springs. And Jeremy’s not your typical Mexican; he doesn’t do well in the heat! (I can make these jokes because I’m Mexican by association!) So poor little Jerm was really hot, sick and miserable but he managed to get some really great stuff anyways.

The first bride. It was really windy and Jeremy got these fun shots! Totally spontaneous and not planned at all. It’s perfect. It’s almost like she’s dancing!

There were a few different hair and make-up people there and we didn’t know who did who. We just found out that our girls, Melody and Amy did this bride!

Stay tuned for more of Jeremy’s pictures from this shoot!

Day After Session at The Queen Mary……

The morning after Julie and Jose’s wedding, we did a day after session at The Queen Mary, where the wedding took place. Side story: Don’t walk around the Queen Mary alone. When we first got there, I went to find the little girl’s room. I walked down a long hall, no one was around and there was scary music playing. I got totally creeped-out! Then I couldn’t figure out how to get back because everything looks the same. Scary! I would NOT ever want to stay the night there!

We started inside. I love how old The Queen Mary is.

Then we went outside for some rainy day fun.

I processed this one to look old. I think it looks really cool with the rain and the texture that mimics it.

Jeremy rocked the rainy photos!

Jeremy had envisioned this shot for a long time and it finally came together.

Thanks Jose and Julie for braving the cold rain with us!

I had to add what Julie said in her email to us,
“WOW!!!!!! Those came out amazing. I have to say I was a little concerned because of my hair and face “the morning after” but that doesn’t even show in the finished product. I am so glad you pulled us out in the rain too…I bet no one has wedding shots like that!”

Thanks for your kinds words, Julie!

Anniversary Cards…..

I was contacted by my friend’s family to design an invitation for a surprise 50th anniversary party using the pictures from the wedding. I really enjoyed designing these and it was a special treat to incorporate the wonderful old photos from 50 years ago.

I love how they turned out! We printed them on pearl paper, which has a really nice sheen to it and is thicker than the norm.

Thanks Clarke Family for giving me this fun project!

The Mission Inn…..

Saturday we shot a fun 50th anniversary party at The Mission Inn in downtown Riverside. We had such a great time with this lovely family. Both of us even got teary-eyed during the slide show and dances. It’s just so awesome to see a couple make it fifty years!

The Mission Inn.

Evey and Ron 50 years ago!

Evey and Ron today.

My dear friend Evey who was named after her Grandma Evey. I just love this..

The same best man that gave the toast at their wedding, their brother Charlie.

Watching the slideshow.

I love the reactions while people watch:

All the kids come up and hug their parents while they dance.

How cute are they?!

Thank you everyone so much for having us!
